Wow! NWG’s…. 52 weeks of photos for 5 years! Quite an accomplishment! 🙂 I have enjoyed our year and hope to have many more! Keeps the shutter clicking regularly! 😉 ❤
I cannot ID this little fly and was lucky to get him in focus. It was a very blustery day in our area.
Used a Canon 6D and a Canon 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS. Settings were 1/100s, f/4.0 and ISO 100.
My husband is experimenting raising tilapia and these are the young ones in a fish tank. They always gang up in the corner of the tank begging to be fed when you come out. I think it’s pretty funny so I decided to try and capture it.
6D and 70-300 f/4-5.6L. Settings were 1/250s, f/5.6, ISO 1250.
The NWG’s got together at Brevard Zoo and had a fun morning shooting the beautiful animals! 🙂
Used 7DMII and a 70-200 f/2.8 L. Settings were 1/250s, f/2.8, ISO 400. It wasn’t easy shooting dappled light through a cage.
Played with the shadow and highlight in Photoshop to help bring out the dark face and brown fur.
At work we were asked to make an ornament for our tree that represented our job. I made this using a doll’s laptop and wrote silly, alternative lyrics for the song ” Blue Christmas”and printed them to look like the blue screen of death. Something I deal with regularly on my job. Sung from the point of view of one of my users while I am on vacation. 🙂
Blue Screen Christmas (Sung to tune of “Blue Christmas”)
I’m having a Blue Screen Christmas without you.
You warned me last week, I decided to doubt you.
Affirmations of backups, but none could be found.
I’ve lost all my data and now your not around.
And when those Blue Screens keep on flashing,
That’s when I know my computer is crashing.
Now I can’t do my work and I’m going berserk!
I’m having a Blue screen Christmas.
Used the Canon 6D and 50mm f/1.8.
Settings were 1/50s, f/2.2, ISO 400
Our chickens will be 4 soon and they have stopped laying for the most part. 😦 We love them, so we will keep them as pets. This one… I call her Prissy, always looked a little worn out as she is at the bottom of the pecking order. I think she ready for retirement! 😀 They have given us many eggs and deserve to enjoy the rest of their lives.
Settings were 1/125s, f.2.0, ISO 160.
Some blackbirds in the late afternoon that made an interesting silhouette in a dead tree.
I brought up the contrast and color. Settings were 1/3200s, f/7.1, ISO 100. Used 7DMII and 70-200mm f/2.8L USM.
Sandhill Cranes in a perfectly synced flying pattern.
7D MII and 70-200 f/2.8 L.
200mm, 1/6400s, f/2.8, ISO 100
Have a very happy Thanksgiving!
I brought my camera with me this week to get some wild turkeys for Thanksgiving and I was about to give up when I spotted about 10 of them in the high grass. I turned my car around to get a few shots in before they ran away. This is about when they first noticed me. LOL! They don’t look too happy about the holiday!
Used a Canon 6D with EF70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM. Settings were 1/640s, f/5.6 and ISO 100.
A sort of cliche photo of seeds leaving a weed but it’s always pretty that’s why you see it so much! 🙂 Used the Olympus TG-4 on microscope mode holding the weed in one hand and shooting with the other. Edited with ACDSee and NIK Silver Efex Pro II as a plug in for the black and white conversion.
