Another shot from the cruise I took. This is the island of St. Thomas. I love the way they paint their houses different bright colors. This was taken from a boat on our way to St. John’s Island National Park.
My settings were ISO 100, f/16, 1/60 sec at 122mm (70-300mm). Cropped a little and saturated the colors the little.
Went kayaking with my hubby and daughter over the weekend. It was such a lovely day. Saw plenty of birds, fish and butterflies. Heard the alligators hidden in the tall foliage along the banks. Good times 🙂
We went camping in a campground off the Indian River this past week. I saw this egg case laying along the river’s edge and thought it was the coolest looking thing. I believe it’s a lightning whelk egg case. Nature is amazing!
My settings were ISO 200, f/7.1, 1/640 sec, at 150mm (70-300mm). Edited on my iPad using Snapseed to sharpen and then transfered it to my laptop and added Topaz’s Adjust 5 Photo Pop filter.
Went for a walk and came across this Dandelion. At first I was going to blow on it and watch the seeds fly away on the light breeze. Then a light bulb went off in my head. This would look pretty cool against a black background laying on my black acrylic glass and then converted to black/white. Not much editing besides converting it to black/white. Oh I also rotated it counter-clockwise.
My son bought this acrylic paper weight with a bat skeleton inside about 9 years ago. He was going to give it away recently when I rescued it for myself for a future photo opportunity. Well the time has come. 🙂
Had to clean up some glare and then converted to black and white. That was it for processing. My settings: iso200, 105mm, f14 and 0.4secs.
